The high school you choose can make a real difference! At the Clark Advanced Learning Center students benefit from a small school setting with personal attention.
A public charter high school
on the Indian River Community College Chastain Campus in Stuart, the
CALC serves about 200 high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with
diverse interests. CALC students participate in learning experiences
relevant to their career interests and real-world projects that inspire
motivation and achievement.
CALC students have the opportunity to earn college credits at no cost while still in high school. In fact, many CALC students graduate with a year of college completed, a savings of at least $3,000 at a public university and $20,000 at a private university.

Accreditation
The Clark Advanced Learning Center received the highest ratings possible in a recent in-depth re-accreditation review conducted by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the prestigious accrediting body for schools and colleges throughout the 11 Southern states. The CALC was evaluated on seven major standards including curriculum, student achievement, finances and safety and received the highest rating possible on all seven standards. Issued following a rigorous and detailed review of the school, the accreditation report commended the CALC as a “supportive learning environment that produces students who are academically and technologically prepared to continue their education at the college level and enter the competitive workforce”.
Our CALC Accomplishments
CALC students earned the highest FCAT scores in science in Martin County for the past three consecutive years and achieved among the highest FCAT science scores in the state.
CALC students outscored students from every other high school in the region and exceeded state and national averages in math and science on the national NRT test.
Over 35% of CALC students are members of the National Honor Society.
The average CALC student graduates with at least 30 college credits earned through dual enrollment.
Almost 10% of students graduate with Associate degrees, ready to start university studies as a junior.
CALC students won Joe Kordick Character Awards, Palm Beach and Martin County Pathfinder Scholars Awards, and MCSD Outstanding Youth Volunteer Awards.
CALC’s four graduating classes have earned over $1 million in college scholarships.
CALC seniors completed more than 10,000 hours of business internships, and several students have been hired by their internship employers.
